All India Radio (AIR) has been receiving a deluge of messages cutting across sections of the society for carrying out programmes in support of rescue, relief and rehabilitation activities in flood hit Jammu and Kashmir.
Right after the resumption of Radio Kashmir, Srinagar's FM station from its makeshift studios at Shankaracharya Hills and then of Medium Wave transmitter at Narbal, it has been airing vital information related with disaster management and rehabilitation; helpline numbers were also announced.

Besides, many regular broadcasts including some special audience programmes have been restored to bring solace to suffering people of flood ravaged Kashmir.
