Three years imprisonment to station engineer in All India Radio for demanding bribe

Jabalpur, (Madhya Pradesh), June 5 (ANI): The Special Judge for CBI Cases at Jabalpur today convicted S.K. Pandey, the then Assistant Station Engineer, All India Radio, Shahdol and sentenced him to undergo three years rigorous imprisonment with a fine of rupees 10,000.

The case was registered on May 14 2008 by the CBI and a chargesheet was filed in the Court of Special Judge for CBI Cases, Jabalpur on January 31 of the same year. against the accused alleging therein that the accused Pandey demanded an illegal gratification of Rs. 50,000 from a Bhopal based Complainant for passing his bills of Rs. 1,76,059.
