Apropos 'How Autonomous is Prasar Bharati?' (ET, May 6), censoring and terming portions unsavoury depend on which side of the fence one is. Neither Doordarshan nor AIR has ever been found to be partisan or biased.
In this age of cut-throat rivalry from private channels, it cannot afford to look idiotic by airing untruth. May be the ubiquitous pyrotechnics of the private channels are absent in Doordarshan. The idea of making it answerable to the Parliament is excellent. An independent....................
