France 24 now available on Doordarshan

France 24, an international news channel from France has officially gone on India's only free to air DTH service, Doordarshan, from November 12. The channel will also be available for free on the DTH service, Dish TV.

France 24 is owned by France Media Monde and will be a 24 hour broadcast channel. Marie-Christine Saragosse, CEO and Chairwoman, France Medias Monde said, "This launch represents a historic step for our French international news channel. In less than seven years, France 24 has become a leading international news and information network. In its coverage of news from a French perspective, the newsroom based in Paris and hundreds of correspondent offices worldwide seek to highlight the expression of diversity, the confrontation of opinions, and also open a window on France, its cultural, economic, political, social life and of course its lifestyle."

The channel will be available on Doordarshan's DD + platform and through this platform, the channel will now reach 31 million dedicated viewers. Dish TV will bring in an additional seven million viewers for France 24.
