SHIMLA: Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh has demanded 5000 direct to home (DTH) sets of Doordarshan for the tribal areas of state. He made this request during his meeting with union minister for information and broadcasting in New Delhi.
Virbhadra Singh requested union minister Manish Tiwari to provide additional 5000 DTH sets to be installed in fringe tribal areas of Himachal Pradesh. He said that Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singhduring his visit to Himachal Pradesh had announced 20,000 DTH for tribal areas of state on May 28, 2005.
He also said that the then union minister for information and broadcasting Ambika Soni in 2009 had informed that the Prasar Bharti had.................
