RAIPUR: The morbid contradiction of Maoists murdering the very people they claim to protect hung heavy over every village when bodies of two slain Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) personnel reached their respective villages in tribal Jashpur district in North Chhattisgarh on Monday evening.

These men were killed in an overnight attack by the Maoists at the Doordarshan transmission facility at Marenga village, near Jagdalpur town, late on Sunday night.

Hundreds of people who had assembled from the nearby places at village Sutri in Bagichha block and at village Sajbahar in Farsabahar block could not hold back their emotions. Another CAF constable belonged to Bematara.
